Purpose
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our technology support team as an IT Coordinator II within University Unions. This role encompasses end-user device guidance, software assistance and network support. The IT Coordinator II will utilize customer service skills and technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, problem solve and facilitate smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities
- Customer Support: Offer end-user support for computers, peripherals and IT services, both remotely and on-site. This includes installation, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, security and upgrades for hardware, software, and peripherals. Work closely with clients to understand and address their needs. Assist with both mainstream and specialized software. Coordinate with central and external IT services as needed.
- Change Management: Facilitate IT asset changes, including vetting vendors and hardware/software solutions, inventorying, deploying and processing equipment for end of life.
- Information Maintenance: Maintain and update accurate information across various systems, including but not limited to documentation and inventory management.
- Network Planning & Support: Coordinate and provide support for the network and server infrastructure to enhance collaborative work both within and outside the organization. This includes troubleshooting endpoint device networking issues and assisting in the planning and execution of networking projects as required.
- Social Media Support (Backup): Serve as backup social media administrator. When assigned, monitor official accounts, post approved content, and escalate urgent issues per University/Division policies and crisis protocols. Coordinate with Marketing/Communications and document per procedures.
- As Assigned: Lead and assist projects and tasks of varying scopes as assigned.
Required Qualifications
At least three years of experience in:
- Delivering macOS and Windows desktop support in an IT Help Desk setting, including responding, diagnosing and implementing solutions for user requests.
- Advanced troubleshooting, maintenance and setup of hardware, software and peripherals critical for organizational data, workflows and secure server/cloud connectivity.
- Utilizing various support channels such as phone, in-person and remote access.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in supporting widely used applications and suites, such as Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong capabilities with both macOS and Windows in a networked environment.
- Experience in Active Directory management.
- Competence applying information security best practices for system hardening at the OS and software levels.
- Adherence to technical support protocols and policies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- More experience beyond the minimum required.
- Expertise in providing macOS technical support.
- Experience supporting faculty, students and staff in a higher education environment.
- Experience with IT environment at UT Austin.
- Broad experience with common and specialized software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary IT teams department-wide and engage effectively with various groups across campus.
- System administration experience.
- Experience with Esports and audio/visual technology a plus.
- Proficiency in network management tasks such as patching, port configuration, logical mapping and network troubleshooting.
- Experience managing multifunction network printers.
- Experience with social media monitoring/management and familiarity with institutional social media policies and accessibility standards.
Experience With Specific Tools:
- Office 365 Suite
- JAMF
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- macOS Terminal/Command Line
- macOS scripting
Salary Range
$62,000+ Annually
Working Conditions
May work around standard office equipment. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Frequent standing and sitting and the use of manual dexterity. Final candidate will be required to pass a background check prior to starting employment.

Work Shift
Standard office hours, on-site five days per week wiht occasional flexibility. Occasional after hours or weekend coverage for events, maintenance, incidents, or backup social media.
