Performance Lead – Business Banking

  • You will play a critical leadership role to drive uplifted performance in the Business Banking

 As part of the Business Bank’s Performance Chapter Area and Crew Leadership Team, you’ll help deliver CommBank’s strategic vision. The Performance Chapter ensures we have the right strategies, processes, and capabilities to enable transformation and performance at scale.

Your Impact

 As a Performance Lead in Business Banking, you’ll be a trusted advisor to your Technology and Crew Leads, aligning crew outcomes with our 3-year strategic roadmap. You’ll lead planning, performance tracking, and transformation initiatives that directly enhance customer experience and business outcomes.

 More specifically for your Crew, you will:

  • Lead quarterly and annual planning cycles, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, risk frameworks, and key results.
  • Drive performance uplift by developing actionable insights from performance metrics, identifying capability gaps, and executing targeted interventions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the crew’s strategy, including planning and tracking of key results.
  • Support transformation initiatives that enhance customer experiences, with deep involvement in strategic crew planning and delivery.
  • Partner across functions to embed Agile ways of working and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Organise and contribute to crew ceremonies and cadences to support performance leadership and people engagement.
  • Implement and refine internal processes, including the rollout of enterprise Agile tooling.
  • Support the crew’s compliance, risk, and audit readiness through proactive planning and coordination.

  • A deep passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, with a strong track record of putting customer needs at the heart of decision-making.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, transformation, or consulting—ideally in financial services or tech-enabled environments.
  • A track record of delivering customer-centric outcomes through data-driven insights and performance management.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across all levels and challenge the status quo.
  • Able to self-organise, plan ahead, and manage urgent priorities simultaneously.
  • Expertise in financial and risk management, with a deep understanding of compliance in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to simplify complexity and inspire action.
