As a Software Architect Senior/MLOps Architect within PNC's Data and Automation organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh-PA, Strongsville-OH, or Dallas, TX.

About the Role:
Join us as a Senior MLOps Architect to build the foundation of our machine learning capabilities. You will be the driving force behind designing, implementing, and scaling our MLOps ecosystem, enabling data scientists to rapidly innovate and deploy models that directly impact our customers and business. This is a hands-on architectural role where your strategic vision will shape how PNC leverages MLOps and AI for years to come.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience as an MLOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Architect with a focus on machine learning infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on expertise with core MLOps capabilities like Feature stores (e.g., Hopsworks or Feast)
• Strong DevOps/DataOps fundamentals: CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of machine learning principles and the end-to-end ML lifecycle platforms (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, or cloud-specific services like AWS SageMaker)
• Experience supporting development teams and collaborating with product vendors on issue resolution and security vulnerabilities
• Architect hybrid/on-prem deployments using OpenShift (OCP) and Kubernetes, ensuring cost efficiency and high availability


This position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint.

Job Description

  • Leads in the overall design of cross-functional, multi-platform, and Web-based application systems; oversees all application system processes.
  • Develops application architecture and blueprints aimed at reflecting enterprise business logic.
  • Defines application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools. Directs mapping activities on specific technology platforms.
  • Provides technical guidance to application development teams. Consults on integration and conversion activities.
  • Conducts reviews, and analyses organizational needs and goals to develop and implement applications.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $43,270.00 – $209,300.00Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
