Job Details:

The pay ranges from $23.35 to $29.40, depending on experience.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, every other weekend and one day off during the week each week.

Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in the feed mill.  Must be willing to learn the feed production process and the flow of feed from receiving to load out.  Must be willing to climb on tall structures and do light welding, pipe fitting, and electrical work.  Must be willing to be on call 24 hours per day/7 days per week in order to help monitor and prevent issues that can cause downtime. This position will be exposed to possible warm or cold temperatures, wet, humid or dusty conditions.  This position will require walking, bending, standing and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.

Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture. Receive training as required. Perform various positions as assigned. Assist the maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment. Assign maintenance technicians to equipment during process periods. Assist with preventative maintenance and breakdowns. Train maintenance technicians on equipment. Utilize a computer-based PM program to track equipment maintenance. Fill in for absenteeism or assist in other areas of the plant.

Must have a minimum of (6) months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate and/or student of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months)
