In your internship at a globally leading medical technology company, you’ll be right in the middle of the action: We develop best-in-class medical software for edge client-side computing platforms, focusing on native iOS and visionOS. Our team enables medical applications by designing and implementing foundational frameworks that leverage advanced device capabilities of iPhone, iPad, and Vision Pro.
Our offer to you
As an intern, you may contribute to one or more of the following areas:
- You develop 3D rendering solutions for 2D displays (iPhone/iPad) using technologies like OpenGL, Metal, and RealityKit.
- You create immersive 3D rendering experiences for spatial environments (visionOS / XR platforms) using Metal and RealityKit.
- You design and implement algorithms for anatomical modeling and surgical resection planning.
- You perform medical domain computations in orthopedic areas such as knee, hip, and shoulder arthroplasty.
- You enhance UI/UX, including the integration of device-based feedback mechanisms.
- You integrate audio input and voice recognition to enable hands-free interaction.
- That makes you stand out
- You are studying for a master’s degree in computer science, medical engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable subject.
- You have foundational knowledge of C++ or Swift.
- You understand basic concepts of modern computing.
- You are familiar with macOS and/or Linux/Unix environments.
- You are enthusiastic about learning and contributing to real-world medical software applications.
- You have a good command of English and ideally a good command of German.
- Duration of your internship: 6 months (full-time)
- When you start with us: March or April 2026
- Where you will work: Freiburg (Breisgau)
