Job Description
- Key Responsibilities
- Carbon Accounting and Inventory Management
- Maintain and update SingPost's carbon inventory across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments and updates to international standards, particularly the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, and adapt our accounting methodologies accordingly. This includes recent guidance on corporate value chain (Scope 3) reporting and the harmonization efforts between GHG Protocol and ISO standards.
- Manage the collection, verification, and analysis of emissions data from all business units and facilities.
Decarbonisation Strategy and Roadmap
- Assist in the development and implementation of initiatives to achieve SingPost's decarbonisation roadmap.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for emissions reduction, such as fleet electrification, energy efficiency improvements, and renewable energy procurement.
- Monitor progress against our decarbonisation targets and present regular updates to senior management.
ESG Ratings and Disclosure Management
- Lead the preparation and submission of responses to key ESG ratings agencies and frameworks, including the CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) and S&P Global.
- Identify and engage with other ratings agencies or disclosure platforms that offer strategic value to SingPost, enhancing our reputation as a sustainability leader in the logistics sector.
- Ensure our public disclosures on climate-related risks and opportunities are accurate, transparent, and aligned with international best practices.
Supply Chain Engagement
- Lead engagement with SingPost's Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers as part of the QUEST programme.
- Provide guidance and support to suppliers to help them measure and reduce their own carbon footprints.
- Collaborate with internal procurement teams to integrate decarbonisation criteria into supplier selection and management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in carbon accounting, ESG reporting, or corporate sustainability.
- Solid knowledge of GHG Protocol (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) and carbon inventory management.
- Experience with ESG frameworks (e.g., CDP, S&P Global) and sustainability disclosures.
- Familiarity with decarbonisation strategies, including energy efficiency and fleet electrification.
- Strong data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, especially with supply chain and procurement teams.
