The Role
As the Data and AI Portfolio Director at Kyndryl, you will lead the governance, oversight, and value realization of AI and data initiatives across the organization. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of AI and data use cases, ensuring they deliver measurable business impact while adhering to governance standards and operating model principles.
As the steward of our enterprise portfolio, you will bring structure, transparency, and accountability to the way we scale adoption—balancing innovation with responsible use.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Use Case Governance
- Oversee the governance process for AI and data initiatives, guiding use cases from intake through approval and implementation.
- Establish and enforce governance standards, ensuring compliance with ethical, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Serve as a central point of accountability for prioritizing use cases and aligning them with strategic business goals.
Portfolio Management & Value Measurement
- Organize and manage the enterprise portfolio of AI and data initiatives across departments.
- Define and implement methods for measuring value at both the use-case and department levels.
- Track and report success metrics for AI rollouts, both at individual and department level, to demonstrate business impact and adoption.
Operating Model & Agent Governance
- Govern and optimize the self-service operating model, enabling responsible innovation while maintaining oversight.
- Oversee the publishing and lifecycle management of AI agents, ensuring consistency with governance standards.
- Monitor adoption, performance, and enterprise-wide utilization of AI agents.

The compensation range for this position in the US is $165,720 to $314,880 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city, or local minimum wage requirement.
This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave and paid time off. Note: if this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.

Required Skills And Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in governance, portfolio management, or related fields.
- Proven track record of leading governance programs for technology initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in measuring portfolio value and ROI.
- Solid understanding of governance practices, and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with AI platforms.
- Familiarity with self-service analytics operating models and AI agent marketplaces.
- Strong financial acumen in licensing optimization and enterprise-scale ROI tracking.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Data/AI/Analytics, or equivalent).
