Procurement Project Manager

For Sartorius Stedim India Pvt. Ltd., we are looking for a Procurement Project Manager to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for building the procurement strategy based on the needs from product tech transfer and business strategy, translating these into requirements for the supply base and category management.

What you will accomplish together with us:

• Project Management: Support the Projects (Engineer to Order, Tech Transfer, NPIs etc.) projects from Procurement perspective
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement activities support overall business objectives
• Participate actively in core team meetings as a key team member
• RFx: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers who can meet the project's technical and quality requirements at the best cost
• Align with Category Management on the strategies for the category cluster
• Actively order first samples as well as tools and work closely with Quality Assurance and Supply Chain teams to ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications
• Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation actions
• Conduct all necessary settings for selected parts/suppliers in SAP
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations
• Drive Cost and value analysis: Knowledge of Value Engineering, Cost Structure Analysis, Target Costing 
• Consider materials and manufacturing know-how: Ability to evaluate the cost impact of design decisions  
• MSc degree or equivalent diploma in a relevant technology field 
• Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation actions
• Conduct all necessary settings for selected parts/suppliers in SAP
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations
• Drive Cost and value analysis: Knowledge of Value Engineering, Cost Structure Analysis, Target Costing 
• Consider materials and manufacturing know-how: Ability to evaluate the cost impact of design decisions  
• MSc degree or equivalent diploma in a relevant technology field 

What Will Convince Us :

• Minimum of 3 years experience (5 years preferred) in procurement or supply chain roles in a technical product developing environment
• Understanding the principles of executing value engineering/design to cost projects
• Possesses a deep understanding of material and goods flow principles. Demonstrates expert proficiency in utilizing a comprehensive range of costing tools, including Should Costing, Net Present Value (NPV), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and others  
• Ability to review technical drawings, specifications and other engineering documents
