What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
- Provide legal support and counseling for asset management and corporate contracts.
- Oversee zoning litigation activities and support related departmental needs.
- Analyze property titles and related documentation to assess the legal feasibility of installing telecommunications towers.
- Prepare risk assessments related to property titles, mortgage bonds, servitudes, contract validity, and restrictive conditions, including mitigation strategies.
- Certify property titles.
- Research and analyze applicable laws, statutes, and legal precedents to support legal opinions and documentation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal contracts and agreements.
- Manage general asset and real estate matters.
- Oversee the registration of properties and contracts with the Deeds Registry.
- Prepare and coordinate corporate and regulatory filings.
- Maintain corporate records.
- Draft legal letters, memoranda, and reports.
- Coordinate and implement projects to improve internal legal processes within the country.
- Resolve issues related to ground leases and permits, which may require in-country travel.
- Manage litigation activities, including updating litigation trackers and monitoring deadlines and hearings.
- Assist in implementing and executing policies related to due diligence and regulatory compliance, including:
- Title standards
- Environmental law compliance
- Licensure requirements
- Scope of work for outside consultants
- Risk management and assessments
- Corporate, tax, and labor obligations
- FCPA and anti-corruption policies
- Support the Asset Optimization department with purchases, extensions, amendments, and abatements.
- Provide general legal advisory services and resolve routine legal and real estate issues.
- Conduct legal due diligence for M&A transactions, including review of Master Lease Agreements (MLAs) in sale-leaseback deals.

What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Law or international equivalent of a Juris Doctorate.
- Experience: 3–5 years of legal experience, preferably in real estate transactions, including landlord-tenant relations, development and construction, contracts, licenses, permits, and legal compliance. Experience with the Public Registry process is required.
- Licensure: Must be licensed to practice law in the local market.
