Our KES organization is responsible for coding product configuration rules for HPE’s propriety knowledge base and configurators (OCA, OCS), used by 15,800 HPE partner users and 4,600 HPE Presales/ Ops users to generate 2.1M solution configurations for customers annually.  This dedicated team of 66 is staffed with Java developers, QA testers, and project managers in Chennai and Guadalajara hubs. 

The role of the Senior OCA configurator developer is to gather project requirements, design and develop the configuration UI and rules.  They master the key skills needed to maintain the overall integrity of HPE’s product configuration rule knowledge base, and preserves and maintains our investment in guided configuration wizard user interfaces for MCS, CRAY, Synergy, Alletra, Apollo and Nimble that supports approximately $7B in quoted revenue annually.

What You Will Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, MCA or related field. Experience: 6+ year

• Develop and deploy AI/ML models and automation tools to set up product data and rules within HPE’s proprietary configurators’ Knowledge Base (KB).
• Build expertise in applying Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-driven techniques to interpret product requirements, menu structures, and configuration rules.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate technical specifications into AI-driven rule creation and code generation.
• Understand and leverage HPE’s CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) ecosystem to design AI solutions that support Sales, Partners, and end-users.
• Develop AI frameworks that interface with HPE configurators and quoting tools, ensuring seamless integration with applications, servers, and data stores.
• Automate integration and solution testing using AI-based validation to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
• Apply AI-powered diagnostics to quickly identify, predict, and resolve configuration issues, minimizing customer disruptions.
• Use LLMs and AI tools to support white-box testing of configurations, ensuring compatibility and accuracy across product portfolios.
• Provide AI-enabled monitoring and maintenance support, continuously improving system efficiency and reliability.
• Drive efficiency in New Product Introduction (NPI) by automating repetitive coding tasks, reducing timelines, and ensuring SLA adherence for bug fixes.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders, presenting AI-driven insights and recommendations to improve user and customer experiences.

This is a hands-on role, where you will be spending 90% of the time coding and 10% of the time solving critical production issues.
