Job Description

Core Responsibilities
- As an Element Developer you will be in charge of building LEGO® Bricks using NX software as the core function.
- Responsible to take the LEGO® Reorder Elements from the technical specifications phase to the technical design freeze.
- Responsible for material, form, fit and function of LEGO® brick.
- Ensure elements are delivered on time, on cost, in good quality, and in consistency to the LEGO® standards.
- Ensure the right technical solution and make sure we are keeping the ED standards into the LEGO ®mould setup.
- Understand all LEGO® connectors, materials and functions.
- Share and enforce your specialist knowledge with key partners.
- Cultivate a positive culture in mould design focusing on collaboration, LEAN practices and productivity

EDR (Element Development Reorder) is a part of EED (Existing Element Development) belonging to Element & Moulds Engineering. which falls under Engineering & Quality, a vital part of LEGO Operations.
We develop existing LEGO bricks, engineering them to comply to the highest quality standards and ensure they fit in the best mould solutions. This includes drafting and maturing of elements for production using NX software, creating technical specifications and documentation.
A high quality output and an accurate delivery is key to us, and we strive continuously to improve in this area to raise the bar even further. We value an informal and believing work environment where empowerment of the employees are in focus.
Do you have what it takes?
- Mechanical Engineer, Plastic Engineer. CAD developer.
- Toolmaker, Tool Technician background valued.
- Experience from similar position as a mechanical part designer for plastic components for at least 3-5 years.
- Experience within CAD tools, designing of plastic components elements, understanding in regards to injection moulding and tool construction.
- End 2 end perspective of value chain needed for creation of high quality elements and moulds.
- Project Management Skills desired.
- Design in 3D CAD system (NX)
- Availability to travel 5% of time.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Detail oriented with focus on quality
- Change ready as we are working in a dynamic and fast environment
- Continuously improvement mindset
- Proficient in English
