Position Requirements:

A minimum five years of experience as a mortgage professional or mortgage department leadership role. A combination of education, leadership training or sales experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Extensive knowledge of Residential lending services and Sales.

Thorough understanding of loan documentation criteria and business objectives for the Residential Real Estate Lending Department.

Knowledge of current bank lending procedures and policies, lending regulations (state and federal), lien laws, collection/bankruptcy regulations, and loan documentation.

Ability to analyze financial statements and loan risk.

Possess good judgment skills. Ability to make decisions within prescribed guidelines, research and solve problems, work independently, handle confidential information and manage multiple tasks.

Thorough knowledge of bank products and services.

Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills. Strong customer relations skills and ability to work with employees and customers in a cooperative manner. Ability and desire to work as part of a team, and with people of diverse backgrounds.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability and desire to represent Central Bank of the Ozarks Market in the community.

Willingness to assume additional responsibilities, duties, and projects as they arise.

Ability to operate office equipment including PC’s, calculators, telephones, voicemail, and copy/printer/fax machines.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to drive a vehicle. Must maintain a current, valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for bank insurance purposes.

Physical And Sensory Demands:

Regularly required to sit; stand; walk; talk; see and hear. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regularly required to drive.

Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision.

Working Conditions:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. The individual experiences little discomfort from noise, dust or other factors.

Qualifications

Position Summary:

Serve as the sales leader by leading and directing the day-to-day activities of the mortgage lending sales force. These activities include loan production, recruiting, training, coaching, monitoring and other initiatives to develop and improve department-wide productivity and profitability.  Responsible for individual mortgage production goals in conjunction with team goals. This position will work in coordination with the Regional Mortgage leader to coach and develop the mortgage lending team and navigate operational decisions. Responsible for driving and maintaining the organization’s presence and competitiveness within the targeted market, while ensuring high quality customer service and maximum profitability from the team.  Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Overall: Guides and develops the residential real estate activities, coaches, trains, manages and directs the mortgage sales team and mortgage loan assistants on residential lending policies and procedures, sales techniques including cross-selling, products, and technology usage to ensure achievement of volume and profit objectives.

Sales Management: Leads effective and interactive sales meetings at least monthly, in coordination with the Regional Mortgage leader. Develops and implements sales strategies and marketing approaches based on internal and external forecasts and market trends. Works in coordination with other lines of business on cross collaboration for the purpose of customer expansion. Maintains personal accountability for sales and service standards and for meeting business development, sales and referral goals. Provides input to management to streamline and improve residential loan services for the benefit of the customer and the bank.

Operations: Assists in monitoring work product quality, trains, coaches, as necessary to ensure that loans meet regulatory, bank, and investor requirements. Assists with loan credit objectives to include origination, delinquency, and charge-offs. Ensures thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues relating to loan policy and procedures (i.e. CRA, Fair Lending, etc.) evidenced by appropriate application of these regulations in day-to-day operations.

Marketing: Develops and fosters relationships including but not limited to real estate professionals, homebuilders, and market stakeholders, and other business development contacts.

Reporting: Provides regular reports to the President/CEO on the bank’s residential real estate lending services.  Offers recommendations and actions to improve loan strategies when necessary.

Management: Responsible for staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. Responsible for formal annual communication of performance reviews with direct reports. Attends business line meetings as required. Demonstrates the highest level of professionalism, efficiency and customer service when resolving the most difficult customer and employee issues.
