Basic Purpose Of The Job

Under direct supervision, partners with operations through a continuous cycle of improvement, assisting with resolution of functional concerns, and enhancing the end-user experience. Coordinates with operational and clinical leadership to assist in the development of strategic improvement plans, in addition to reporting on the progression of key metrics. Makes recommendations to application analysts on improvements needed in enterprise workflows and educational material.  Focuses on workflow analysis, implementation of lower complexity tools and workflows, and basic support and maintenance of end user tools for clinical applications.  Gains knowledge in assigned departments and develops an understanding of assigned service lines. Is effective at taking ownership of low complexity issues and acting as a liaison between customer and support staff to facilitate resolution.

Job Requirements

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: No
  • Minimum Education: Associate degree in computer science, information technology, nursing or related field.    
  • License/Certification Required: No
  • Minimum Work Experience: Two years’ experience in Information Technology, clinical operations, or related field

  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint and other computer applications.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assesses user needs through regular onsite visits to provide support and proactive service, including analysis of opportunities to take advantage of existing tools and workflows.
  • Is highly responsive to customers and shows an aptitude for the development and documentation of customer requirements.
  • Optimizes the use of technology to improve patient and end-user experience, and uses data collected through technology to improve quality of care provided.
  • Successfully leads and coordinates small scale projects.
  • Effectively scopes, plans for, and delivers on customer requests.
  • Establishes and maintains an appropriate support presence with all key customers.
  • Conducts regular onsite visits to support and provide proactive service, including analysis of opportunities to take advantage of existing tools and workflows.
  • Provides first level support for end-user issue resolution.
  • Participates in and supports operation-led solution development.
  • Develops project plans for small scale projects that lead to efficient and consistently successful product delivery.
  • Presents effective summaries for low complexity decision points showing options with cost/benefits clearly defined.
  • Defines customer requirements for changes that require back-end work and communicates to an assigned Application Analyst.
  • Facilitates collaborative decision-making, as appropriate.
  • Understands key metrics to assist in identifying potential opportunities and help guide project planning initiatives.
  • Investigates and evaluates end user proficiency.
  • Provides individualized support for end users.
  • Serves as a liaison between end users, subject matter experts, clinical and operational leadership, and implementation teams.

  • Light lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 1-20 lbs occasionally and frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required. Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending, and reaching is required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
