Key Accountabilities:
• Generate technical data for Government work (new manufacture and repair) to include final inspection reports and the development of repair work scopes.
• Review, analyze, and calculate in-process Quality data required to support all processes and Quality metrics.
• Interface with Government and Classification Society (e.g. ABS) inspectors and technical personnel.
• Maintains calibration system, welder and NDT certifications, and standard operating procedures for machining, finishing, and QA functions.
• Establishes production processes and the manufacturing sequence for products in machining and finishing operations.
• Lead QMS/ISO for the Walpole, MA facility and manage all Quality Assurance functions & chair the Material Review Board for the Walpole, MA facility.
• Adhere to prescribed safety rules and regulations, reporting to supervision any unsafe conditions that they may become aware of. Must wear or use all company required safety equipment.
• Perform in process and final inspections, special project assignments and other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or equivalent with 5+ years’ Quality or Program related experience OR;
• Masters’ degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent with 3+ years’ Quality or Program related experience OR;
• JD/PhD in Engineering, Technology or equivalent, related in materials science, metal casting or related manufacturing OR;
• In lieu of a degree at least 10 years of directly related experience
• Knowledge and use of all standard measuring and test equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance through government industrial security program, which requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Requirements:
• Quality, Program, or Project Management related background.
• 6 Sigma, Lean Process, Green Belt or equivalent.
• People Management experience.
