Set-Up Technician – Night Shift

We currently have an opening for a Set-up Technician Trainee, reporting to the Shift Supervisor. The successful candidate will build upon their present knowledge/experience in injection moulding by learning how to perform;

• Set-up and start-up of molding machine, auxiliary equipment, tooling as specified on the set-up master.
• Ensure processes are running within the tolerances of the set-up master; notify Production Supervisor of any processes outside of tolerances specified or nonconforming processes.
• Document all set-up changes outside the tolerances of the set-up master.
• Verify color feeders are set to set up master and products produced meet quality standards.
• Adhere to all relevant Safety Procedures; lock-out, equipment inspection etc.

The successful candidate must have a good basic understanding of the injection moulding process and have well-developed mechanical/technical abilities. They must be eager to learn and attend training courses as this is a requirement. The position also requires that the successful person be in good physical condition with the ability to climb into tight places, underneath machines and on top of machines. They will need to be a very quality-conscious team member and be a person dedicated to working in a neat, organized and efficient manner.

The successful candidate must be flexible in working hours, shift and be willing to work overtime when necessary.
