Northrop Grumman is seeking a Material Estimator, administrative level 2 supporting the Navigation, Targeting, & Survivability Division within NGMS.  The position will be located in Rolling Meadows, IL and will enjoy both a 9/80 schedule and hybrid work location.

What You Will Get To Do:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare material estimates for proposal submittals by:
• Support proposal reviews with detailed Bills of Materials and Cost Estimating Relationship (CERs) Estimates including accompanying supporting data
• Interact with other functional areas to troubleshoot issues in support of proposal requirements and deadlines
• Develop cost models to support proposal efforts and overall pricing strategy
• Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process
• Present and brief material pricing, cost issues and risks to senior leadership
• Support fact finding, audits, customer negotiations, and certifications while ensuring compliance during all aspects of the proposal process
• Support Pricing and Estimating Team Initiatives
• Collaborating and coordinating with proposal technical teams in developing the material estimating strategy by interfacing with Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Program Management, Program Office, and Pricing Organizations
• Understanding customer requirements through RFPs and other requests
• Selecting appropriate pricing methods (PO History, vendor quote, etc) for each item included in the proposal
• Ensuring compliance with Customer and  FAR Regulatory Requirements

• Ensure Schedule Adherence

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years or Master's degree with 1 year of experience.
• Experience in pricing, finance or contracts.
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite of tools/applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aerospace/Defense Industry Experience

• Knowledge of TINA and FAR requirements
• Knowledge of material pricing systems
• Knowledge of the business acquisition process

• Experience Using Sap

• Risk Analysis and S-curve technique experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $105,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
