This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking fish health expert to help develop fish welfare for both existing and new aquaculture concepts. You will have the chance to engage in the growth of a world-leading supplier in aquaculture. DNV is now building a powerhouse for aquaculture.

The position involves overall responsibility for fish health services in Åkerblå-DNV, including defining frameworks and developing products and delivery, aligning services across regions, and fostering professional development within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an internal expert and advisor: Ensure Åkerblå is always professionally up to date.
  • Consolidate and further develop our professional foundation and harmonize it across the company: systems, procedures, and guidelines. This includes overall responsibility for internal resource groups within the field.
  • Develop and maintain systems that ensure professional standards required of fish health personnel.
  • Facilitate collaboration and synergy between various professional areas within Åkerblå.
  • Represent the company externally in professional contexts. Build strong relationships with relevant networks such as customer, supplier, and partner professional communities.
  • Contribute to the development of existing and new services, including overall responsibility for following up on relevant projects related to fish health (e.g., Skattefunn and other R&D activities).
  • Professionally coordinate critical deliveries that span across regions.
  • Support organizational work and regulatory processes related to the field.
  • The position reports to the Head of Section Fish Health.
  • Office location at one of our established offices along the Norwegian coast. Please specify your preferred office location in your application.
  • Solid experience and expertise in fish health; strong professional insight, while also able to rely on other experts without needing to dive into every detail yourself.
  • Authorized as a Fish Health Biologist or Veterinarian.
  • Strong organizational skills, structured, and always looking for improvement opportunities.
  • Professional integrity, values humility, and willing to engage in important discussions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
  • Ability to foster dialogue and collaboration between people.
  • Creativity and innovative thinking to help develop future fish health services.
  • Ability to challenge and initiate meaningful discussions.
