About Unisuper

UniSuper is a leader in the superannuation industry, known for delivering strong performance and exceptional retirement outcomes for our members. As we continue to grow, we offer meaningful opportunities for talented professionals to develop their careers and contribute to our success. Join our collaborative and forward-thinking team, where your expertise and ideas will help shape the future of retirement for Australians.

Over 70% of all funds under management (FUM) are managed in-house by our dedicated Investments team. We strongly believe our in-house management strategy ultimately leads to greater retirement outcomes for our members through lower fees, sustainable investment options, and top quartile investment performance.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created role within our Asset Allocation team, sitting centrally in the Investments group. As a Total Portfolio Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we analyse, build, and optimise our investment options across all asset classes. You’ll be joining a collaborative, hands-on team that values innovation, learning, and making a real impact from day one.

You Will:

  • Analyse investment performance and risk across all asset classes and options
  • Support the development of frameworks for portfolio construction and asset allocation decisions
  • Collaborate with asset class teams and the Asset Allocation Committee
  • Use coding and data analysis to deliver insights and automate processes
  • Contribute to research, alpha generation, and continuous improvement

This is a unique opportunity to join a brand-new team, work closely with senior leaders, and help build processes and tools from the ground up.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in a quantitative field (Science, Engineering, Maths, Commerce, Economics, or similar)
  • Strong coding and data analysis skills (Python, SQL, PowerBI, Excel)
  • Familiarity with investments, especially multi-asset portfolios
  • Experience in performance or risk analysis
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to succinctly distil insights
  • Comfortable working in a small, hands-on team and building new processes

Experience in superannuation, funds management, investment banking, or quantitative finance is highly regarded, but we’re open to diverse backgrounds. If you’re passionate about making a difference and keen to learn, we want to hear from you.

Why Join Us?

  • Shape a new team and have a direct impact on investment outcomes
  • Work in a collaborative, innovative environment
  • Develop your career through exposure to a wide range of asset classes and investment strategies
  • Be part of an organisation that genuinely cares about its people and members

We take a long-term outlook and will invest in your development and training with a personal development plan and yearly funding to support your career goals. We believe 60% in office is the best way to collaborate and build relationships with your colleagues whilst offering flexibility.

Think Great. Create Great.
