Communications Consultant, Product Disclosures and Transactional Comms

At AustralianSuper, we truly care about our colleagues. We know work and life are intertwined. That’s why we support the diverse needs of everyone and have policies that enable us all to thrive and be truly flexible. We ensure diversity is celebrated for the opportunity it provides us all to learn and grow and deliver better outcomes for members.

Your New Role

Are you passionate about making the complex simple? As our new Communications Consultant, Product Disclosures and Transactional Comms (internally known just as Communications Consultant), you’ll be the go-to expert for crafting compelling, effective content for mandatory disclosure documents, transactional and legislative communications, print collateral and digital content—helping members understand what matters, when it matters most. You’ll work closely with different teams and stakeholders fund-wide including product, compliance, digital and operations teams, to ensure all member communications are accurate, accessible and compliant.

You’ll join a dedicated communications stream focused on the Accumulations phase, within the larger Product and Services Communications team – an experienced and supportive crew that loves to collaborate, share ideas, and tackle challenges together.

Your mission? Build trust and connection with members by creating clear, targeted communications across multiple channels—think digital, print, web, email, chatbot, and more. By transforming industrial-style comms into engaging, member-friendly messages, you’ll play a critical role in keeping members informed and empowered to achieve their best financial outcomes in retirement.

What You’Ll Need

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills—you turn complex topics and technical jargon into plain language that is easy to understand.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills—you’re a natural collaborator who brings people together to achieve a common goal.
  • Prior experience with JIRA, MS Suite, Adobe, Keystone (highly beneficial), and PageProof (highly beneficial).
  • Experience in end-to-end communications, from concept to delivery, across multiple channels.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise your workload under pressure, delivering programs on time and to a high standard.
  • Experience in superannuation, insurance, or financial services is a plus but if you come from a heavily regulated and legislated industry where you’ve delivered communication projects, this would also work.
  • Studying or qualified in communications, marketing, or a related field (RG146 compliance is a bonus).
