Director (f/d/m) Trade Management Intra-Europe

As a Director (m/f/d) Trade Management Intra Europe, you will be part of a high-performing team of 10 professionals, responsible for driving business growth and profitability in the Intra-Europe trade. We are looking for a shipping professional with a strong background in Short-Sea Trade. You will bring your expertise and passion to drive business growth, improve profitability, and differentiate Hapag-Lloyd from the competition. Your leadership abilities, strong communication skills, and analytical mindset will enable you to inspire and manage your team effectively, while driving results-oriented projects and initiatives.

• Leading the Trade Team IRT Europe and responsibility for bottom line result of the Trade
• Owning responsibility for systematically and continuously developing the IRT pricing strategy, incl. growth of long-term customer base (tender strategy) and systematic leverage of Hapag-Lloyd’s state-of-the-art digital products
• Collaborating with Cargo Control teams to maximize profitability through optimized cargo mix
• Identifying opportunities to optimize the European Short-Sea network of Hapag-Lloyd from both commercial and operational perspectives
• Leveraging the short-sea and long-haul network to strategically grow market share, improve quality, reduce costs and differentiate from competition
• Budgeting of volume, freight rate and segmentation, as well as closely monitoring and analyzing deviations against targets
• Leading internal projects and studies, as well as ad-hoc requests from Senior Management
• Strong shipping background with experience in Short-Sea Trade Management
• Proven leadership abilities to inspire and manage a team effectively
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Systematic and goal-oriented approach to work, combined with strong analytical capabilities and in-depth knowledge of short-sea specific KPIs and profitability calculations
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems like QlikView/-Sense, Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English (business proficiency)
