About The Role

We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Director to lead growth across the Asia-Pacific region in our manpower augmentation business. This role requires someone strategic, well connected, and able to develop and execute plans that expand our presence, drive large contracts, and deliver high-quality staffing solutions to clients across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & execute the overall business development strategy for manpower augmentation in the APAC region, aligning with corporate goals and local market needs.
  • Identify, pursue, and close large contracts / partnerships for manpower augmentation services (e.g. contract staffing, project staffing, outsourced workforce) with enterprises, government agencies, and other organizations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (CXO level, HR leaders, Procurement) in target markets to understand their workforce augmentation needs and pain-points.
  • Partner with internal teams (delivery, operations, HR, legal) to design staffing solutions that are scalable, compliant, cost-effective, and deliver value to customers.
  • Lead proposal development, negotiate commercial terms, manage risk, and ensure agreements deliver profitable margins.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, regulatory changes, and labor laws in APAC countries to ensure our services are competitive and compliant.
  • Responsible for forecasting, achieving revenue and profitability targets for manpower augmentation across APAC.
  • Identify new market opportunities, verticals or geographies within APAC for expansion.
  • Manage key accounts in the manpower augmentation space: ensure high client satisfaction, anticipate future needs, and grow relationships.
  • Oversee sales pipeline management, reporting to senior leadership on progress, obstacles, and required support.
  • Drive continuous improvement: refine processes, tools, and best practices for manpower augmentation business development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales or client relationship roles, with at least 5 years specifically in staffing / manpower augmentation / workforce solutions across APAC.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing large contracts or deals in staffing / workforce augmentation (e.g. contracts worth USD millions).
  • Strong understanding of the manpower augmentation industry: sourcing, compliance, labor regulations, payroll / contractor management, etc.
  • Experience managing cross-border or regional sales operations; able to adapt strategies across different APAC markets.
  • Excellent networking skills and experience interacting with CXOs, HR leaders, Procurement, etc.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with high business acumen; able to balance growth, risk, and profitability.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment; manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel within APAC as required.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, HR, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
