About Us
Founded in 2015 by friends Valentina Muntoni and Stephanie Bennett, Rat & Boa is a bold and unapologetic fashion brand built on the celebration of femininity and individuality. Known for our signature prints, dramatic silhouettes, and nostalgic glamour with a modern twist, we create pieces designed to elevate every moment of dressing up.
We are more than a brand — we are a growing global community. Every collection tells a story, blending romanticism with edge, and we’re on an exciting journey to evolve into a fully-fledged fashion house. With ambitious plans to expand into new categories and explore fresh creative directions, this is an incredible time to join our team and help shape the next chapter of our story.
The Role
We’re looking for a highly creative and passionate individual to join our Design Team in London.
As a Junior Designer, you’ll work closely with our Creative Directors, helping bring collections to life from the first sketch to the final sample. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same—you’ll research, sketch, design, and support fittings, while developing your craft in a collaborative, high-energy environment.
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes fashion, brings a fresh perspective, thrives on detail, and is ready to make their mark in an established yet evolving brand.
Research & Inspire: Research fresh ideas across runway, vintage, street style, and culture. Create moodboards, colour palettes, and references that feed into collection direction.
Design Develop: Create CAD sketches, develop new shapes, prints, and details, and prepare tech packs that translate creative concepts into production-ready designs
Sample & Fit: Support fittings, manage samples, trims, and strike-offs, ensuring our vision comes to life with precision.
Collaborate & Communicate: Partner with product development, production, and merchandising teams, and liaise with suppliers when needed to keep designs aligned with our Critical Path
Organise & Support: Keep design archives, sample rails, and boards sharp and up to date, and assist in preparing for design reviews and range sign-offs.
Team Support: Day-to-day admin tasks
