As the Internal Systems Engineering Manager in this team, you will ensure that software delivery meets the needs of daily business operations within the company. With a compact setup (one dedicated frontend and one dedicated backend engineer), you will act as a playercoach, leading architecture and delivery while contributing productionquality code in Python and Next.js.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of internal web applications in Python (Flask or FastAPI) and React/Next.js
• Define architecture and technical direction; own API and data model design, and make build/buy decisions
• Establish and enforce engineering standards: code review, branching/merging, testing strategy, CI/CD, and release management
• Write readable, testable, efficient, and maintainable code; contribute unit, integration, and endtoend tests
• Operate services on Linux with Nginx/Apache; own incident triage, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Manage project priorities, schedules, and deliverables; run lightweight planning (roadmaps, backlogs, milestones) and stakeholder communication
• Mentor and unblock the frontend and backend engineers; ensure quality and on-time delivery
• Build reusable components, internal libraries, and tooling to improve developer productivity
• Document architecture decisions, APIs, runbooks, and user guides

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional fullstack development with Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, including Flask/FastAPI and React/Next.js
• 2+ years of handson team or project leadership (playercoach) with a track record of shipping production systems
• Strong understanding of web fundamentals: HTTP(S), HTML/CSS, DOM, cookies, Ajax, and API design principles
• Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL): transactions, indexing, query tuning, and schema migrations
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and environment parity across dev/stage/prod
• Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (unit/integration/e2e)
• Comfortable deploying and operating on Linux; strong Git practices and code review discipline
• Excellent English reading and good English writing

Nice To Have:

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS or GCP)
• API governance (OpenAPI 3, versioning, backward compatibility)
• Basic observability (log aggregation, metrics dashboards, alerts)
• Awareness of application security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10)
• BS or above in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
