Non-Destructive Test Inspector
Role
The ABENDI qualified inspection technician will be responsible for providing technical support during visual inspection of subsea structures, electrochemical potential inspection, and thickness measurement.
Reporting To
Operations Manager Brazil for line management Project Manager for specific projects
Interfaces:
Project Coordinators, Project Teams, Operations Manager.
Academic Competencies
Desirable
- Technical diploma in mechanics, electrical, electronics, naval machines, naval structures or similar.
- Qualified by ABENDI in the modalities described above and experience in the industry for at least 3 years.
Required
- Certification in at least two of the following ABENDI qualifications:
Underwater Visual Inspection
(Sm-Ev-N2-G / Sm-Ev-N2-Rov)
Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement
(Sm-Us-N2-Me / Sm-Me- N2-Rov)
Electrochemical Potential Measurement
(Sm-Pe-N2-G / Sm-Pe-N2-Rov)
- Safety and survival training (CBSP and HUET) to meet customer and industry requirements.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Self-starter.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Keen team player.
- Ability to work alone and under pressure.
- Organisational skills.
- Knowledge of naval structures (i.e. FPSOs, drill ships, semi-submersibles, FLNG) or shipyard experience.
- Intermediate English level.
