What you will be doing in this role
As the Neuro, Spine & Interventional Neuro (INR) Perioperative Service Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping one of our most complex and innovative surgical specialties. Reporting to the Theatre Manager, you’ll lead both the clinical and operational delivery of care, with an initial focus on launching our state-of-the-art INR Suite—an exciting milestone in our expanding services.

You’ll design and implement the model of care, workforce structure, and training pathways to support this new capability. Working closely with surgeons, vendors, and internal stakeholders, you’ll introduce advanced technology and procedures that elevate patient care. Your leadership will also be instrumental in staff recruitment, targeted training, and preparing the team for the new theatre’s opening in early 2026.

Beyond the launch, you'll drive ongoing service development by embedding clinical governance, fostering a high-performance culture, and championing continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical leadership with operational impact—perfect for someone passionate about specialty growth, team development, and delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Who we’re looking for

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills and a warm, approachable leadership style.
  • Experience managing staff  and theatre resource allocation.
  • Hands-on experience with neuro/spine equipment and operational management.
  • A commitment to clinical governance and continuous quality improvement.
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration, ideally holding or pursuing postgraduate qualifications, and solid leadership experience.
