Medical Supply Clerk

JOB SUMMARY:Within the context of a client and family centered care model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Medical Supply Clerk supports the Home Care health programs by maintaining inventories of medical supplies and resources, maintaining, cleaning and disinfecting rehabilitation and other program equipment, assembling and preparing education packages for clients. Performs other related administrative support functions as required. QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience Grade 12 plus two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities• Ability to keyboard 5,000 keystrokes per hour• Ability to operate related equipment.• Ability to deal effectively with others.• Ability to organize workload.• Knowledge of nursing equipment• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures.• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
