We are currently recruiting for qualified Paramedics to join our team in Mangawhai!

  • 2 x Paramedic positions based in Mangawhai, working a 4 x 4 roster, 08h00 to 20h00.
  • 1 x Rodney Relief Paramedic, covering Otamatea, Mangawhai and Wellsford Stations, working a 4 x 4 DDNN roster with flexibility to plan alternative patterns (DDDD, DD88, 8888, 88NN) in advance

These are a permanent positions and will start in late November. Please express your roster preference in your application.

As part of your role, you will be working alongside volunteers who play a vital part in our operations. There is an expectation that all paid staff actively contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive culture, and take an active role in mentoring and supporting volunteers. This helps ensure a collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute.

Qualifications

Ko wai koe - About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current St John Authority to Practice at Paramedic level
  • Current Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council
  • Excellent operational and clinical performance to date
  • Excellent driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Evidence of CCE
  • Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
