Senior Specialist, Internal Audit - General

Job Purpose

The Auditor – Data Analytics Specialist role focuses on leveraging advanced data analytics to support internal audits and implement and manage continuous control auditing techniques to proactively identify risks, anomalies, and control weaknesses across business processes. A key aspect of the role is to support the implementation and integration of emerging audit technologies, including AI-driven audit tools, to enable real-time monitoring and predictive insights.

• Design and execute complex data analytics to support audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting
• Develop and maintain continuous auditing and monitoring routines to identify anomalies, trends, and control breakdowns
• Collaborate with audit teams to integrate data analytics into risk assessments and audit engagements
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from various systems (e.g., ERP, databases) to support audit objectives
• Visualize observations using dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve internal controls, operational efficiency, and compliance.
• Assist in the development of data-driven audit methodologies and tools.
• Leverage Microsoft Copilot to enhance audit planning, execution, and reporting
• Train audit staff on the effective use of Microsoft Copilot for data analysis and documentation

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field

At least one recognized professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years minimum in audit or data analysis experience in professional level 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analytics tools such as IDEA, ACL, etc.
• Experience with continuous control auditing and automation of audit procedures
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot in audit and data analytics environments
