Job Description:

Summary:

The part-time Research Assistant is a detail-oriented and research-driven professional with strong expertise in applying quantitative and computational methods (R, SQL, Tableau, Python, LLMs) to analyze complex datasets, conduct empirical research, and support AI-focused studies in negotiation and trust. The incumbent will demonstrate a proven ability to design, train, and evaluate large language models (LLMs), conduct in-depth literature reviews, and integrate findings into high-impact manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals. The part-time Research Assistant will be experienced in supporting academic course delivery through data-driven insights and technology integration, while ensuring rigorous project management and reproducibility in all research activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Computational Social Science & AI Research Support: Apply quantitative and computational methods (R, SQL, Tableau, Python, LLMs) to analyze research data, conduct empirical analysis, and code negotiation transcripts.  Contribute to the design, training, and evaluation of LLMs to support ongoing research on AI, negotiation, and trust.
  • Instructional Technology & Research Integrity Support: Support course delivery through analytical projects, such as analyzing student engagement data, applying programming tools to enhance learning, and maintaining course technologies. Provide project management and documentation to ensure rigor and reproducibility.
  • Research & Writing Support: Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings with empirical data for manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals.

  • This is a temporary position scheduled to end on or before December 31, 2025.

Salary Range:

  • $18.50/Hour.

Required Education And Experience:

  • Bachelor'S Degree.

  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred Education And Experience:

  • Master'S Degree.

  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
