Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safe and clean work environment, leading by example and assisting Production Facilitator(s) in monitoring Safety, Teamwork, Quality, Machine Performance, AIB requirements, 5s and Housekeeping.
  • Assist Production Facilitator/Team Leader with training of Team Members on Safety Policies, Quality/Environmental Policies/Procedures and SOP, etc.
  • Coach machine crews on the efficient use of lean production practices to meet/surpass production goals.
  • Work with the frontline team to monitor and drive strong production metrics every shift.  Drive root cause analysis and implement with frontline team members, sustainable solutions which result in high performance in all areas of operations.
  • Assist with planning and managing shift schedules to meet production goals, maintain quality requirements, and assure an even flow of work to increase up-time and minimize unscheduled downtime.
  • Support, with the frontline team and other leaders as needed, ensuring that manufacturing orders are followed through properly to completion.
  • Work with Team Members to ensure information reported into our business system is accurate and consistent with procedures.
  • Assist Production Facilitator/Team Leader with prioritizing Machine Maintenance Work Orders
  • Motivate the team to drive efficient operation of equipment and support the inspection of materials, products, and equipment to detect and/or prevent malfunctions; assist in troubleshooting any machine slowdowns or other problems.
  • Work with team to ensure product being produced conforms to customer’s specific requests and requirements when applicable.
  • Participate in one-on-one coaching, team meetings and interacts with frontline team members in a positive and motivational manner.
  • Provide recognition, performance feedback and coaching as necessary to support the team and individual growth and development.
  • Ability to demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Coach and mentor in various ways to positively impact different styles of learners.
  • Be a servant-minded style leader by serving our Team Members and providing them with all the tools and coaching they need to safely and efficiently perform their job.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Education And Experience

  • A minimum of a High School diploma is required for this position.
  • Prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
  • Three-five years working experience in manufacturing/production environment.
  • Must be highly organized and possess the capability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team in a diverse work environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented, have strong reading, written, and verbal communication skills and proficient problem solving abilities.
  • Current Team Members must be in a good performance standing, have a good safety and attendance record, and be recommended by their Facilitator or Team Leader.
  • Ability to train crew on equipment use, adjustments and unique situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and communicate with production team and management.
