Our Quality Control (QC) department at site Hillerød consists of approximately 260 employees divided into different support teams, four testing teams, and four AD teams. About the QC AD Department
QC AD Department consists of Projects team, Chemistry teams, Bioassay team, and a TOC & DP team – in total we are approximately 50 people. The various teams support testing of non-GXP samples from our Process Specialist, Manufacturing Science and Technology - Drug Substance & Drug Product teams. We work in close collaboration with the QC Testing teams where we lead method validation, qualification and transfer studies that enable in-process and release testing of Drug Substance Manufacturing and Drug Product Manufacturing.
We have grown significantly over the last 4 years where we as a CDMO has implemented many new customers, and subsequently implemented all the methods associated with testing of the customers products. Due to the fast growth and the many new responsibilities that has come with new customers, methods, and complexity – then we need to move our department to next level. We need to do something differently and work more focused on working smarter not harder, and invest the time in optimizing our processes, procedures, and make sure we constantly have focus on continuous improvements. That is where you come into the picture!
About The Position
We want a Continuous Improvement Scientist to help the 4 teams investigate various problems or processes, with the focus of supporting and driving the improvements projects locally or across the departments in QC. You will be reporting directly to the Director for the QC AD Department with the aim of making sure we prioritize the right projects across the 4 teams, and you will help the QC AD management team to make the right prioritizations of where we will have most gains. You will be part of a CI network and work closely with the entire QC Department and the QC CI partner. Lastly you will work very close with the SMEs and managers from the various departments on the optimization projects.
Your primary tasks will be but not limited to:
- You will function as Project Manager for various improvement projects across the 4 teams.
- You will investigate, support, and drive and consequently maybe also execute on the projects – this will often also include updating of various processes, SOPs etc. to finalize the implementation.
- You will lead method transfer root cause investigations.
- You will help drive a CI culture with the QC AD management team.
- You will help making presentations and business cases where needed for large optimizations and communications to stakeholders or upper management in Fujifilm.
- Your will help QC AD Teams to move to a new level as a department that constantly look at making improvements.
- You will play a vital role in assuring we have focus on the strategic projects and must-win-battles for QC AD teams.
Professional and Personal Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or similar combined with experience from the pharmaceutical industry, preferably experience from QC. We are looking for a person who has the right attitude and energy and understands the requirements in a cGMP QC laboratory.
Your Qualifications Are:
- You have project management skills and are used to running project across Teams and has experience with the common project management tools.
- You have good communication skills and are used to make very good PowerPoint presentations that can explain complexity in a simple manner.
- You possess excellent collaboration skills and understands the importance of OneTeam (OneQC) mind-set where we aim at helping cross-functionally.
- You are curious, self-driven, dedicated, thorough and systematic and can plan your projects and deliverables in a structured way.
- You have previous experience either as LEAN responsible, CI partner, and knows the various CI/LEAN/Shingo tools.
- You have experience with facilitating workshops.
- Fluency in English is required as English is our corporate language.
