Position Title: Early Education Lead Teacher - Strong Foundations Program
Job Summary:
This role leads the classroom team, supports educational planning, and maintains compliance with program standards and licensing requirements. The Early Education Lead works closely with families, staff, and leadership to deliver a high-quality learning experience rooted in early childhood best practices.
Hourly Pay Rate: $20.50
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30AM-5:30PM
Location: Phoenix, AZ

Required Orientation
Our New Hire Orientation takes place during your first week of employment:
Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | HR Campus in Mesa, AZ
Early release may be granted upon completion of all orientation requirements. Please note: orientation is not available during evenings or weekends.

Qualifications:
Education:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)

Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a lead or supervisory teacher working with young children (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Arizona Early Learning Standards and classroom application
• Familiarity with Quality First! expectations (ECERS, ITERS, CLASS)
• Experience with developmental assessments and documentation systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:
• Ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of children in the classroom at all times.
• Plan, implement, and submit weekly lesson plans that align with early learning standards and individual developmental needs.
• Complete developmental assessments, document observations, and share results with parents to support individualized learning plans.
• Train, supervise, and provide ongoing coaching to classroom staff, including conducting performance reviews and one-on-one check-ins.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation such as attendance records, meal counts, daily reports, and health checks.
• Support a welcoming classroom environment by greeting parents and children daily, building positive family relationships, and assisting with the intake process.
• Sanitize classroom equipment and materials daily to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Lead by example in modeling positive behavior, language, and engagement with children, families, and staff.
• Ensure classroom materials are prepared and organized in alignment with planned curriculum and activities.
• Act as the site lead in the Director’s absence and assist with coverage, staff scheduling, and daily timecard approvals.

• Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
• Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
• DCS Central Registry Background Check
• Drug Screening
• TB Test (Depending on Program)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Therapeutic Options Training (Depending on Program)
• Valid Unrestricted Driver’s License
• Current Auto Liability Insurance
• 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record
