Touchmark is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Services Director to oversee facility operations across three key sites: a full-service senior living community, a premier winery and event space, and our central office. This key position is responsible for safeguarding physical assets, ensuring buildings and equipment are operating at peak efficiency, and maintaining safe, attractive, and welcoming environments for residents, guests, and team members.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of building systems, a proven track record in facilities management, and strong leadership skills to manage maintenance, housekeeping, and custodial teams across diverse environments.
Compensation: $120,000 – $135,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility
Position Responsibilities
• Oversee facility maintenance, housekeeping, and custodial operations across three distinct locations.
• Ensure safe, efficient operation of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and winery-related systems.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise building services staff; foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer service.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, including cost forecasting and resource allocation.
• Coordinate preventative and deferred maintenance, construction projects, remodels, and refurbishments.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety codes, regulations, and inspections.
• Maintain strong vendor and contractor relationships; oversee bidding and project execution.
• Respond to emergency and on-call maintenance needs; serve as part of the Manager on Duty rotation.
• Represent Building Services in leadership meetings and committees, contributing to organizational success.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial management, construction management, or related field, and 7+ years’ experience in facilities management; OR equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing staff in maintenance, housekeeping, or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, carpentry, painting, and more.
• Familiarity with winery/event space operations preferred.
• Certifications such as CFM (IFMA), CHFM (ASHE), or FMC (BOMI) strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations.
