Job Purpose
The Vice President, M&A and Strategic Finance will serve as a key member of the corporate finance leadership team, responsible for driving the company’s inorganic growth agenda and supporting strategic financial initiatives. This role will partner closely with the CFO, CEO, and executive leadership team to evaluate, structure, and execute acquisitions and other strategic initiatives while also enhancing financial planning, capital allocation, and investor readiness.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Source, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition opportunities in alignment with corporate strategy
• Lead financial due diligence, valuation modeling, synergy analysis, and integration planning
• Manage external advisors (investment banks, legal, accounting, consultants) throughout transaction lifecycle
• Prepare and deliver board materials and investment committee presentations for proposed transactions
• Support long-term strategic planning, scenario modeling, and capital structure optimization
• Partner with business unit leaders to identify growth opportunities, operational improvements, and ROI initiatives
• Develop strategic frameworks and financial analyses for major contracts, partnerships, and business cases
• Work with operations, finance, and HR teams to drive post-acquisition integration, synergy realization, and performance tracking
• Establish metrics, reporting, and governance structures to ensure accountability on strategic initiatives
• Prepare board presentations, investor materials, and other executive-level communications
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CFO and CEO on capital allocation, financing alternatives, and market trends
• Other duties as assigned
• Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
• Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times
• Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
• 8–12 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or strategic finance
• Demonstrated track record of executing M&A transactions from sourcing through integration
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
• Excellent executive presence, communication, and presentation skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Gracious and welcoming personality for customer service interaction
Working Conditions
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear.
