Description

The Flint Physician Assistant Department is seeking a LEO Lecturer I to assist with PPA 533 (Patient Evaluation for PA Practice III) for the Fall 2025 semester at 15.3% effort. This position will support in-person assessments within the PPA 533 course. The individual will participate in evaluation students' clinical skills through Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), oral case presentations, clinical procedures, and physical examination techniques. 

Course Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 am - 10:00 am, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, and 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person assessments of PA students' performance
  • Evaluate student competencies in OSCEs, oral presentations, procedural skills, and physical examination
  • Review and assess related documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clinical reasoning
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth and skill development
  • Collaborate with course faculty to ensure consistency in grading and assessment standards
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance in accordance with program guidelines

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant
  • Three (3) years of professional experience as a PA involving direct patient care
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Current or eligible for PA licensure in the state of Michigan
  • Prior experience in PA education and PA student assessment

Modes Of Work

Onsite

The work requires, or the supervisor approves, a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated UM owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
