As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Finance Technology team , you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
- Architect and Build: Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance platforms for finance users, enabling advanced analysis, modeling, forecasting, and planning capabilities.
- Lead and Inspire: Guide a talented team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Drive Transformation: Work closely with product managers, finance experts, and stakeholders to deliver solutions that redefine how financial data is leveraged across the organization.
- Innovate: Leverage the latest technologies in cloud, data engineering, and AI/ML to create tools that set new standards in the industry.
- Mentor: Share your expertise and help grow the next generation of engineering talent within JPMorgan Chase.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Experience as a software engineer, with a track record of leading complex projects and engineering teams to successful delivery.
- Experience in building large-scale platforms, with deep knowledge of data quality, observability, and entitlement management to ensure robust, secure, and reliable solutions.
- Expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
- Experience with the AWS platform, including its core services, architecture best practices, and security features.
- Experience with big data technologies, including Apache Spark, for large-scale data processing and analytics.
- Expertise in building data-driven applications, ideally within finance, banking, or related domains, with an understanding of financial planning and analysis workflows.
- Experience collaborating with other platform teams to design and build common, reusable frameworks that drive standardization and enable wider adoption across the organization.
- Passion for solving complex problems and delivering impactful, scalable solutions that drive business value.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and engage with stakeholders across the organization.
- Exposure to Databricks
- Experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Technology, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
