The Associate Account Services Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting both internal and external customers by executing administrative and processing tasks within Account Services. This position ensures timely and accurate handling of customer requests including benefit summaries, administrative-level changes, and contact updates while maintaining precise account data across company systems. Working closely with Account Services Coordinators and Account Managers, this role delivers high-level administrative support that strengthens client relationships and contributes to the overall success of Delta Dental.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of system configurations related to benefit structures, products, and plan designs to accurately process administrative and non-rated changes. 
  • Respond to customer requests for benefit highlight summaries, information, and other administrative needs. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and analyze data for client presentations and reporting. 
  • Research and resolve account-related issues using internal systems and workflows, ensuring timely and clear communication of resolutions. 
  • Interpret and summarize complex information from internal departments into concise, customer-ready responses. 
  • Support open enrollment meetings and occasionally deliver presentations either virtually or at customer locations. 
  • Document comprehensive summaries of client interactions and ensure prompt follow-up with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with special projects and provide additional administrative support as needed.

Education And Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales or Account Management, with a focus on administrative and client support preferred. 
  • Experience in both direct and indirect client support. 
  • Insurance license may be required depending on state regulations. 
  • Familiarity with Current Dental Terminology (CDT) codes and dental nomenclature is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. 
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar, composition, and proofreading. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism. 
  • Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. local time zone. 
  • Ability to report to the local office up to twice per month and as needed for meaningful events (e.g., town halls, volunteering, team building).


Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. 
Pay Grade 13. $33,600 - $67,900
