We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Alternative Funds Lending to join our Credit Services Institutional Lending team. This role is located in New York, NY.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Support senior lenders in evaluating loan commitments primarily to unregulated Funds managed by Financial Sponsors. Lending commitments include Capital Call (Subscription Finance) Facilities, as well as other investment fund and general partner-related financing facilities.
- Participate in deal structuring, drafting term sheets, client discussions and reviewing credit documentation.
- Monitor existing credit portfolio; including investor exposure and concentrations, and loan reviews.
- Manage Limited Partner ratings and exposure reports on facilities, assist with ad-hoc reporting related to the portfolio.
- Lead specialty project related to financing facilities and technology enhancements.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA is preferred.
- 3+ years of total work experience, preferably related to Capital Call, Structured Finance; experience in risk analysis.
- Excellent credit analysis and financial modelling skills.
- Experience in reviewing, analyzing and negotiating credit documentation.
- Ability to communicate skillfully and effectively with involved stakeholders.
- Robust analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and attentiveness to detail.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $70,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
