About the Team
TikTok’s Product and Risk Communications team helps shape public understanding of how we keep our platform secure and our community protected. This team is responsible for proactive communications about our product features, product integrity and safety innovations. This team is responsible for managing our risk review process, ensuring we are working as part of the product development cycle to protect and enhance the safety of our platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with TikTok’s user product vision and business objectives. Ensure all messaging is cohesive, strategically aligned, and effectively conveys our core values and product goals.
- Work cross-functionally with regional and global communications teams to drive clear narratives about our user products and platform benefits.
- Partner closely with teams across Product, E-Commerce, Public Policy, Creator, and Legal to craft and refine messaging that supports TikTok’s product storytelling. Foster collaboration to ensure consistency in communication across various platforms and channels.
- Lead the development of media strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. Prioritize tactics that showcase TikTok’s product innovations, discovery opportunities, and cultural impact. Scale messaging and toolkits across global audiences.
- Serve as a key point of contact for media inquiries related to TikTok’s user products. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and aligned communication with the media, emphasizing TikTok’s strategic direction and product offerings.
- Conduct continuous analyses of market trends, cultural shifts, and the industry landscape to identify opportunities and anticipate challenges. Utilize these insights to adapt and refine communication strategies, ensuring TikTok remains responsive to market changes.
