Location: Sweden, Gothenburg Or Stockholm (Remote/Office-Based)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

The Operations Director is critical for the success of our Global Freight Forwarding operations within Sweden.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive freight forwarding experience, strong operational leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in managing complex logistics operations. About The Role

How you will contribute:
• Lead and manage freight forwarding operations across Sweden, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with DP World’s global objectives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with commercial, finance, and product teams to support business growth.
• Monitor KPIs and operational performance, providing regular reporting to senior leadership.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts.
• Support digital transformation and automation initiatives within operations.
• Act as a key escalation point for operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration across operational teams.

Qualifications
• Proven track record of managing freight forwarding operations and driving operational excellence.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
 

Experience
• Minimum 10 years in transport, logistics, or freight forwarding, with a focus on operational leadership.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex logistics networks.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and operational best practices.
