We’re currently looking for a Bank Cardiac Physiologist to support our growing Cardiology service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly alongside some of the region’s leading consultants, contributing to a wide range of procedures across our Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiology Ward, and Outpatient Department.

Spire Cardiff offers cardiology diagnostics and cardiac procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative clinical team.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, independent practice across a full range of diagnostic procedures, including ETT and other specialised tests
  • Prepare and operate within the Cardiac Catheter Lab and outpatient cardiology suite
  • Support clinical governance and quality assurance alongside the senior management team
  • Deputise for the Cardiology Manager when required
  • Ensure safe, effective care delivery in line with Spire policies and national standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and risk management within the department

Who We'Re Looking For:

  • BSc in Cardiac Physiology (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate experience
  • BHRS or IBHRE accreditation (required for independent practice)
  • Proven ability to perform a wide range of complex invasive and non-invasive procedures
  • Advanced knowledge in one or more specialist areas: Complex Device Therapy and/or Electrophysiology (EPS)
  • ILS certification (ALS desirable)

Hours: Monday – Friday, between the hours of 08:00 – 20:00, Saturday 08:00 – 17:00 

Contract: Bank
