The position will utilize the software to assist hospital management in strategic planning, marketing and financial analysis. Responsible for the development and implementation of market research programs in accordance with the mission of the corporation.  Analyzes statistical data received from market research and forecasts of future trends.  Facilitates market research activities, business plans, Service Excellence Plans and other planning functions as necessary for the corporation. Uses Decision Support - Cost Accounting systems and data to perform analyses for strategic planning and reporting to Administration and FMOLHS.

  1. TECHNICAL TASKS
    1. Effectively researches market conditions in local and regional area
    2. May direct product/service research development
    3. Assists Business Development director and Service Line Coordinators in formulating business plans for soliciting business
    4. Prepares accurate reports of data collected and submits to Administration in a timely fashion
    5. Identifies potential product/services and follows up with department directors to assist in the implementation of new programs.
    6. Demonstrates a consistent level of performance & maintains progress on multiple projects regularly
    7. Effectively utilizes planning and marketing software to provide relevant research data.
    8. Demonstrates a complete knowledge of marketing techniques including research methodology and design formats for data gathering
    9. Has a working knowledge of computer operations to analyze and evaluate statistical data
    10. Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy consistently. Conveys accurate and timely information to Controller/Administration.
    11. Provides financial analysis expertise to hospital management for purposes of strategic planning and profitability analysis
    12. Utilizes the Decision Support System to assist in evaluating the profitability of hospital product lines
    13. Prepares feasibility studies as needed by the Controller/Administration for new projects or service expansion
    14. Participate in the development and evaluation of new and existing systems.
    15. Prepares fiscal analysis reports as needed by the Controller/Administration. Reports should be neat and accurate
  2. CRITICAL THINKING
    1. Analyzes statistical data and forecasts future marketing trends
    2. Reviews market analyses to determine patient/community needs and assists in formulating business plans to coincide with these determined needs and to accommodate organizational goals.
    3. Analyzes and controls expenditures of Service Excellence department to conform to budgetary requirements.
    4. Always strives to make good use of time; seeks out work that needs to be done; always uses time to departmental advantage.
    5. Demonstrates a complete understanding of all policies and procedures concerning the responsibilities of the position.

  3. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

  • Bachelor's degree in health informatics, Data Science, Business/Healthcare related field
  • 3 years of experience in health care data analysis or related field
