We are hiring a Senior Finance Manager - Gaming Controllership to support Microsoft Gaming and the Gaming Controllership leader. Microsoft Gaming is recognized as one of the largest gaming companies globally. As a member of Corporate Accounting and the Gaming Controllership Team, your overall responsibilities include driving technical accounting decisions, partnering across our Gaming business stakeholders, and supporting fully compliant processes, all to ensure complete and accurate financials for the Gaming business.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to evaluate complex Gaming transactions and accounting developments to ensure adherence to MS policy, GAAP and SOX regulation, as applicable.
- Act as primary liason to drive overall Gaming Controllership Governance, by advising and consulting with peers, and stakeholder groups to ensure accurate accounting and to minimize financial reporting risk.
- As needed, meet with internal and external auditors to discuss audit procedures, respond to questions, and provide information and records.
- Supports the team in managing priorities and impact in a collaborative environment.
- Act as a resource for various ad hoc projects.
- Provides recommendations to team members and business leaders for accounting system and process improvements or optimization.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 3+ years accounting or finance experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 4+ years accounting or finance experience
- 3+ years of professional experience demonstrating a proficient understanding of GAAP , accounting policy frameworks, end-to-end accounting processes, internal control systems, and comprehensive controllership responsibilities
- OR equivalent experience
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.
Accounting IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
