As a Technical Program Manager on the OpenAI Partnership team, you will support cross-functional initiatives that span engineering, product, and business domains. You’ll design and manage scalable processes, assist with KPI dashboards and reporting for senior leadership, and foster strong relationships to prioritize and drive impact across Microsoft. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, research, product, and business teams at Microsoft and OpenAI to ensure successful IP transfer, track progress, and report gaps.
  • Develop dashboards and insights for leadership, supporting decision-making and accountability.
  • Analyze internal and external stakeholder needs, form hypotheses, and test solutions to address business opportunities.
  • Engage stakeholders for feedback, research industry trends, and integrate data to identify patterns and build solutions.
  • Monitor performance metrics, iterate on improvements, and foster strong relationships to earn trust and deliver results.
  • Be available to work on-call as needed, aligned with product release cycles and role-specific requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering complex projects/programs on time while collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Qualifications

  • This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport. Lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees may verify status using other documents, where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  Technical Program Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
