We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Enterprise Applications to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada. 

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Enterprise Applications, you are a technology leader joining a growing team of IT professionals to design, deliver, and support solutions using SharePoint, Power Platform, Copilot, Teams, and other SaaS or COTS tools. You will play a key role in critical projects, using your insight and technical skills to propose and implement technology solutions that address business challenges. In collaboration with the IT Service Operations team, you will contribute to several key initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, collaborative, and eager to bring their technical leadership skills to support the implementation and adoption of new technologies. Hybrid Work Model

This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the flexibility to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. The requirement for on-campus presence is a minimum of 40% of your schedule in a month. 

Additional requirements are determined by the role functions and operational needs of each business area.  

  • Configure and Maintain COTS and SaaS Applications: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and implement solutions using platforms like SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Copilot, Teams and other SaaS and COTS. Configure and script solutions, document support models, and manage application lifecycles while staying current with emerging technologies.
  • Support COTS and SAAS applications: Lead the resolution of incidents and service requests, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with vendors and support teams. Manage problems and change processes and analyze requirements for new service requests.
  • Oversee technology-related implementation projects: Act as technical lead on medium to large-scale projects, including software upgrades, hardware refreshes and other technology implementations and changes. Also, enterprise initiatives, and cyclical operational projects. Manage project plans, resources, budgets, risks, and quality assurance, and prepare all related documentation and post-implementation reviews.
  • Provide Senior business systems analysis: Identify and propose business and process improvements, translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions, and lead requirements gathering and design sessions. Develop documentation, testing strategies, training materials, and support team development and continuous improvement efforts.

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline and four years of recent, related experience.
  • A minimum of four years of recent experience working in a lead role in a complex IT environment supporting, designing, and implementing business applications, including:
  • A minimum of two years of recent experience supporting, evaluating, configuring, and implementing complex COTS/SaaS applications/systems (including M365 applications like Office, Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform).
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring others.
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Gathering requirements and developing business systems / functional specifications for large custom and/or COTS/SaaS applications. 
  • Delivering systems and technology enhancements and maintenance activities within demanding timelines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proactive and self-directed with excellent organizing, prioritization, planning and time management skills
  • Able to successfully manage multiple assignments at once
  • Able to establish, maintain and promote effective relationships with a variety of groups or individuals
  • Knowledge of ITSM processes –Incident Management and Change Management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead medium to large projects, owning the full lifecycle including planning, execution and communication
  • Knowledge of change management processes and project management methodologies
  • Thorough knowledge of application design and development life cycle
  • Delivery of system enhancements and maintenance activities within demanding timelines
  • Advanced problem management skills, including root cause analysis, systemic issue identification, and the ability to propose and implement enterprise grade solutions. Knowledge of best practices to ensure security and privacy M365
  • Knowledge of M365 application configuration including SharePoint, Teams and Power Platform; proficiency in scripting (PowerShell), and familiar with emerging M365 tools such as Compliance Centre
  • Ability to produce high-value documentation, including support models, governance documents, knowledge articles, and RFCs
  • Experience leading requirements review sessions, preparing cost-benefit analysis, briefing notes, and translating business needs into technical specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across teams, manage vendors, and influence leadership stakeholders
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and train junior peers or co-op students
  • Contributes strategically to technology direction, governance, and process maturity.
