Objectives
National Key Account Manager (NKAM) builds and maintains relationships with the company's highest-value national clients, acting as their primary liaison and a strategic partner to drive sales growth, identify new opportunities, and develop tailored solutions. This role involves developing account strategies, coordinating internal teams, managing sales forecasts, and analyzing market trends to achieve sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients, serving as the main point of contact.
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive account plans and sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and grow revenue from key accounts.
Business Development: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts, as well as seeking out new strategic customer relationships.
Internal Collaboration: Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments (such as marketing, operations and product development) to ensure that client needs are met and tailored solutions are delivered.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to provide insights and recommend strategies for product enhancements and increased sales.
Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, manage the sales pipeline, and provide regular performance reports to senior management.
Requirements
- Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Relationship Building: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with key clients.
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop and execute long-term strategic account plans.
Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiating contracts and agreements to the mutual benefit of both the client and the company.
Analytical Skills: Experience in analyzing sales data, market trends, and financial information to make informed decisions.

- Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the industry and the specific needs of key accounts.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree or Military equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience in key account management, sales, and relationship management.
