Dairy Sales and Consulting Internship (CA, ID, OR, and WA)

Primary Objectives Of Position:

GENEX is seeking to a summer Dairy Sales and Consulting intern to represent our portfolio of products & solutions as well as gather on-farm data. This internship includes top level training, on-farm sales experience and close interaction with full-time staff, including senior leadership. 

Location: This intern will cover the territory of California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. 

Major Areas Of Accountability:

• Gain an understanding of several key herd care line and genetic products within GENEX.  
• Collect and analyze on-farm data, potentially as part of designated project. 
• Be willing to work with GENEX full-time staff as well as independently calling on customers. 
• Represent GENEX in a professional and friendly manner at all times. 
• Complete administrative tasks such as weekly reports, expense reports and other items on a routine basis  
• Provide detailed feedback on the summer experience, member and customer feedback as well as needs within the industry 

Qualifications:

• Preference toward a career in the dairy industry upon graduation 
• Pursuing a degree in Agriculture, preference for dairy, beef or ag communications/sales 
• Strong work ethic and accountability 
• Aggressive sales and service person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Must possess strong communication and people skills 
• Willingness to learn and develop both personally and professionally 
• Willingness to travel 
• Computer skills are required
