Job Summary

Responsible for using discretion and judgment in the selection and application of one or more standard procedures involved in testing of in-process samples and finished products submitted to the ballistics laboratory I Runs routine and non-routine analyses and computes data, and assists in planning analysis and tests I Demonstrates a keen sense of safety awareness

Essential Functions

• Assists with the ballistic testing of a specific product line in support of the Production, Research & Development and the Quality Assurance Departments.
• Reads specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identifies/prepares test equipment.
• Supports monitoring of tests per specifications, interacts with customers if needed, troubleshoots, and documents all pertinent data.
• Assists and performs troubleshooting, interpretation, and analysis of test results.
• After test completion, verifies, reviews, and documents all pertinent data.
• Maintains lab by physically removing test items, cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, and organizing supplies.
• Supports team members in the preparation and performance of tests and the maintenance and analysis of appropriate data, problems, and/or results.
