The UF Office of Teaching and Technology is seeking a Financial Analyst II to join the Support Services team. Opportunity:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Administrative Services, the Financial Analyst II performs specialized functions necessary to and required for the approval, opening, review, audit compliance, and closure of the university’s educational auxiliary programmatic activities which include courses (credit and noncredit), degree and non-degree programs, conferences and seminars delivered on campus, off campus and through continuing educational modalities as well as college-based program development accounts.

Primary Auditor: Serve as the primary auditor for Educational Auxiliary fund transactions across the entire enterprise, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Additionally, act as the secondary approver for Educational Auxiliary fund vouchers routed through MyUFMarketplace.

Reconciliation: Tier 1 Reconciler for all units reporting to the Associate Provost of Teaching & Technology, including updating and maintaining reports and records for the Administrative Services Director. Non-credit Reconciliation of the registration system ensuring registrations and revenue are recorded accurately and timely.

Journal Processing: Process journals, including continuing education non-credit revenue journals and E2E journals, as needed.

Backup Processor and Approver: Provide backup support for processing and approving accounts payable commitments, invoices, and expense reimbursements for units reporting to the Associate Provost.

Academic Services Support: Support academic services, including self-funded program requests, setup and management, analyze market trends and labor statistic reports, providing recommendations to the units across campus, Florida Shines Information and Data Requirements, NC-SARA and BOG reporting, Distance Learning fee review/tagging, and reviewing trends in enrollment, revenue, and expenses to evaluate program success.

Project ID Management: Create and assist departments in closing Project IDs required for 143 Educational Auxiliary fund transactions.

Compliance Support and Other Duties: Assist departmental staff in interpreting and complying with relevant State, University, and Division guidelines and regulations for proctoring, distance learning fees, and payment for goods and services. Perform other duties and specific projects as assigned by management.

Expected Salary:

$60,000 - $70,000

Preferred:

Knowledge of relevant state and university rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the university’s educational auxiliary fund.  Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and communicate effectively in writing and verbally. 

Effectiveness in communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Experience in creating and managing reports and data, specifically in Enterprise Analytics and Power BI.  Advanced Excel certification through Microsoft, LinkedIn Learning, or equivalent. Special Instructions to Applicants:
