Full Stack AI Engineer (Python, AWS) – Remote

As a member of Mutual of Omaha’s AI Operations team, you will partner with Data Science teams across the company to deploy and monitor AI solutions. This team sits at the intersection of AI Governance and GenAI Enablement, ensuring AI models are not only scalable and secure, but also responsible, fair and explainable. 

As a Full Stack AI Engineer, you will focus on building the platforms, pipelines and integrations that enable our Data Scientists to bring models into production. This role is about bridging experimentation and enterprise-scale delivery, ensuring AI solutions are reliable, secure and cloud-native.

• Engineer II: $115,000 - $135,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
• Engineer III: $135,000 - $155,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

What You'Ll Do:

• Build production deployment pipelines for AI and generative AI models in AWS Bedrock and SageMaker. Create CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native automation to enable repeatable deployments. 
• Develop full stack integrations (APIs, back-end, front-end) to bring AI capabilities into enterprise applications. 
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to translate prototypes and experimental workflows into robust, scalable solutions. 
• Optimize workloads for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability in AWS. 
• Partner across teams to ensure AI solutions meet security, compliance, and operational standards. 

What You’Ll Bring:

• 5+ years of professional development experience including building and deploying applications with Python. 
• Familiarity with AWS services including Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation). 
• Knowledge of full stack development (front-end, back-end, APIs) with ability to integrate AI/ML models into production systems. 
• Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to collaborate across engineering and data science teams. 
• Curiosity, adaptability, and drive to work in a dynamic environment where AI is rapidly evolving. 
• You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
• Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

Preferred:

• Experience integrating generative AI models into applications. 
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and cost optimization in cloud-native environments. 
• Exposure to enterprise-scale deployments and system integrations.
